Sasha joined R Street from the Office of U.S. Rep. Blake Farenthold (R-Texas), where she was counsel specializing in Judiciary Committee issues. She previously served as legal aid at Caterpillar Inc., assisting the company’s government affairs team’s work on the Coalition for 21st Century Patent Reform. Prior to that, she served as a Google policy fellow.
She is a member of the Federalist Society, The Copyright Society of the USA, and Internet Law and Policy Foundry. She is a founding member of the Congressional Tech Staff Association and currently serves as an adviser to the Creative Commons 2018 Summit Committee.
Sasha earned her bachelor’s degree in English literature from George Washington University and a master’s degree in Victorian literature from the University of Glasgow. She also holds a bachelor of laws from the University of Glasgow and a master of laws in intellectual property from George Washington University.
