Josh McCrain is a graduate student in the Department of Political Science at Emory University. His research focuses on political labor markets, lobbying, Congress, media and politics and political methodology. His research and/or writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, CNN, New York Magazine, Salon, USA Today, NPR, CNBC, Newsweek, Vox, MSNBC, the Journal of Politics and the American Political Science Review. Prior to coming to Emory. he spent three years in Washington DC, first working on Capitol Hill, then as a nonprofit lobbyist, and finally in online advocacy for nonprofit organizations.
