Event: Panel on congressional oversight databases

Wayne Law Review and the Levin Center at Wayne State University Law School are hosting a panel for scholars on “Congressional Oversight Databases” on Wednesday, May 27, 2020. The panel will highlight new and existing databases that can be used to conduct research related to congressional oversight.

The webinar will hear from:

  • Moderator: Daniel Carpenter, Allie S. Freed Professor of Government Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Harvard University.
  • Jamie Spitz, The Lugar Center, talking about the Center’s new 10-year database of Congressional oversight hearings.
  • Molly Reynolds, The Brookings Institution, talking about its new real-time Oversight Tracker.
  • Jonathan Lewallen, University of Tampa, talking about the long-standing University of Texas collection of congressional hearings.
